A recent project was to update a home that had been painted fifteen years ago. The original colour choices were strong and bold. The homeowner needed a change. The main living space of living, dining room and kitchen is over 2000 square feet and painted sunshine yellow.
The colour palette that was selected introduced watery blues which worked perfectly for this lakefront property with spectacular views. The project became much broader than wall colour. We made new fabric selections for furniture and then selected paint colour. We always recommend this approach since it is much, much easier to select a paint colour to work with your fabric choices. The transformation to the home was dramatic and the owners are thrilled.
Our most recent property purchase had wallpaper, a border, or both in every room. There was a pink undertone throughout. This scheme had no appeal for us. The wall paper was removed in order to have a clean slate for selecting colours. Many people could not see the potential in the space when we bought it and were amazed with the results that we achieved with colour.
